My connection with art began in childhood. Encouraged by my mother, I attended various art classes from an early age, exploring different painting styles and techniques. Art has always been an integral part of my world, even during the years when my academic and professional path took me in a completely different direction.
In 2014, I began pursuing Persian miniature and traditional Iranian painting more seriously. A year later, in 2015, I participated in my first group exhibition at the Milad Tower in Tehran. Over time, my interest in traditional Persian arts deepened, leading me to explore Persian illumination (Tazhib) alongside miniature painting.
My academic and professional journey, however, developed in a field entirely separate from art. I continued my studies in Bioengineering and earned my PhD in the field. Years of academic life and immigration eventually created a pause in my artistic practice.
Yet art never truly left my life. After many years, I found myself returning to the realization that creating, discovering beauty, and engaging with artistic experiences make me feel more alive and fulfilled. This return to art, now with a more mature and broader perspective, became the starting point for LIMER — a journey that took shape alongside a dear friend and creative companion, with the vision of creating a space where people could create, learn, and experience art.
